DNS over HTTPS (DoH) and DNS over TLS (DoT) are protocols that enhance internet connection security and privacy by encrypting DNS queries.
When accessing a website via HTTPS, data is encrypted but traditionally DNS queries, responsible for translating domain names to IP addresses, were sent unencrypted. This made online activities susceptible to eavesdropping, data manipulation, and tracking by malicious entities.
DNS over HTTPS and DNS over TLS combat this security deficiency by encrypting DNS queries to safeguard the privacy and security of requests. This protection thwarts unauthorized interception of DNS queries for potentially malicious purposes such as redirecting to phishing, malware, or surveillance websites.
Key Features:
- DNS over HTTPS and DNS over TLS support without requiring VPN configurations.
- Configurability: Users have the flexibility to incorporate their preferred DNS server.
- Privacy Emphasis: The application exclusively secures DNS queries through reputable service providers without routing other connections through external servers. No user information is collected.
- Transparency: Users can select from a range of reliable service providers like Google, Cloudflare, AdGuard, among others.
- DNS over HTTPS (DoH) operates on port 443, while DNS over TLS (DoT) uses port 853.
Empower yourself with enhanced online privacy and security using DNS over HTTPS and DNS over TLS. Download the application today for a safer and more confidential browsing experience.
